Community Garden

Another successful year in the books! Please check back in February for the Spring meeting date/time.

Alvirne's Community Garden is thriving with activity! Each year the garden has been plowed, disked, and roto-tilled. Plots are staked out, and wood chip walkways are laid down. The Alvirne Community Garden is a project of the Alvirne Farm Committee. A grant from the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation provided start-up funds for necessities such as fencing, fuel for the tractors, and water tanks. A total of 60 large plots (10' x 30') are available to community members who wish to try their hand at gardening. A fee of $25 per plot helps to cover garden expenses. Gardeners are expected to provide their own tools and watering cans. Until school is out, gardening will take place before or after school hours.
